Lisa’s Loves – what I heart in March

It’s been nearly a year since I unofficially launched my blog, and it sure has changed a lot! In January I finally locked down my branding, domain and focus. One thing I didn’t include was “Lisa’s Loves” ….but I’ve decided to bring it back!

I love sharing my favorite products/buys, and what better place than here? So, let’s jump right in.

Here are my favorite items I discovered (and love) this month:

The Wet Brush: the original detangler in punchy pink

Y’all, I’ve been searching my whole life for a brush that gets out my tangles without accosting me. It’s a serious issue. Then I read about The Wet Brush in a magazine and thought I’d give it a try. It is the most amazing brush I’ve ever used, and it’s less than $10!

Jeans by Universal Thread

I was so excited when this brand landed at Target because I kept seeing all the ads with women of different sizes. There are two things I automatically gravitate to and support: Latinas and plus size models/brands. Universal Threads definitely has a good team (or maybe it is Target’s team) and I love to support an innovative brand. So when I slipped into my first pair I was absolutely stunned – they are the most flattering jeans I’ve tried in a while. Super score!

Black Criss Cross Capris

Y’all have seen how much I adore my Ruby Ribbon leggings. Now that it is Spring (and summer temps in Texas) it was time to summerize my legging wardrobe. I already had these in gunmetal and camo, and the black are my new favs. Love the shaping built right in, and the thick material ensures I am good-to-go running after and bending over a toddler! Ya feel me?!

Herbal Essence Foam Conditioner

I’m sure you have seen the ads all over for the new foam conditioners. They are usually advertised for fine hair, and I have very long, thick hair. I really wanted to give this a shot because conditioner really weighs down my long hair. And I am so glad I did! I am so in love with foam conditioner now, and my hair has that “life” you find after a new haircut. I tried the Sheer Moisture Refresh Blue Ginger shampoo and foam conditioner and pretty much set on this line.

Sandals by Universal Thread

Of course I have to throw in a new pair of shoes to my monthly loves! I originally was going to share my beautiful pink jellies because I really, really love them. But, I included these adorable sandals because they are affordable, chic and really comfortable! I am just head-over-heels for Universal Thread…and already a total Target fan girl.

Magnolia Woven Bushel Baskets

Okay – confession. We went to Waco for the zoo last weekend and by the time we finished that up and had lunch, we were done for the day. Especially our toddler! So even though I really wanted to visit The Silos, we decided to make a quick stop at the Magnolia Warehouse Shop, Joanna Gaines’ newest addition. It is all things scratch, dented and past season. I picked up 3 beautiful baskets for only $5 a piece! Unfortunately I did not get a cupcake though!

I can’t wait for my April shares because with a big move underway I am sure to have a few cool new house items! I’d love to hear what you loved this month in the comments below.

  1. Ohhh yes.. the wet brush is amazing! I won one at a party once and talk about best prize ever haha I bought a mini one to keep in my purse at all times.

I’ve heard such great things about those jeans at Target. They look awesome on you! I really need to go check them out as soon as I get motivated enough to try on jeans which is something I have to work up to :]

    1. The brush is amazing, can’t believe I’ve been missing out my whole life! And thanks about the jeans – they really are flattering! You can also try what I do for swimsuits – I order a few sizes and styles, try them on in the comfort of my home, and then return what didn’t work. I looooove shopping this way, especially now as a mama!

  2. I see a future of shopping Fixer Upper! I have already been wanting to go back to Texas (last time I went was over 15 years ago) but if they have a scratch and dent section or store….oh my! Now if I can talk my husband into it…

    1. For sure!! They had tons of great items, I wish I could have looked more but we had an exhausted toddler on our hands! Tell your hubby about the bakery, that usually can help! 🙂

  3. I would looooove to go to the Magnolia store. I’m so obsessed with fixer upper. Those leggings are too cute! This month I was obsessed with my white Puma smash v2 leather sneakers. I’ve worn them with dresses and jeans.

  4. Thank you so much for sharing! I actually have never heard of the Universal Threads at Target, but like you, I love me some Target and also support Latinas and plus size :). Will def look into this brand next time I’m in Target!
